This acrylograph is an homage to not only Bowie but the teenage rock and roll experience of losing yourself in a brand new vinyl record. The pre-internet days of discovering new things about the band every time you opened the album and read the liner notes. When the liner notes and album packaging were the connection between you and the music you were hearing. With this acrylograph I made the clear acrylic letters appear and disappear and the edges would shift and change just like the nuances of the album you were hearing. 

Beneath the appearing and disappearing letters is a hand screen printed print with hand cut, registered and screen printed pieces to make up just enough of the image that is connected to the lyric floating over it. The first line of the chorus from Bowie's song Moonage Daydream. 

The overall 12x12 dimension of the piece is the same size as a record.
